off in 1986 with founder members Mark (Buffalo) Carter, Vince Carter &
Jem Soar enlisting the wailing skills of Craig High at Woodwarf Studios
in Greenwich while artist Dave Eyre showed an exhibition of his & Jem's
work upstairs in a gallery.

Mick Cronin rejoined his Sexagisma compardres & became the keyboardist
of Psycho's Mum in 1987. The first line-up pic is from that year. It was
one of a clutch of gigs The Psychos did at The Black Horse in Catford for
The South East London Musician's Collective. Such luminaries as Back To
The Planet, The Sea, The Brain of Morbius, The Baby Trio, Easter & The
Totem, Sheep On Drugs, Seventh Seal, The Leven Signs, Best Foot Forward
& Keeping Up With The Reagans also played on the same line-ups in the
same collective. (Back To The Planet members did their first ever gig
supporting Psycho's Mum).

Psychos Mum and a dancing fan
Nick The Bevis Frond Saloman released a A Sibilant Sin on his Woronzow
label in 1989 with the LP fast becoming a cult collectable. The Psychos
also appeared on The Woronzoid Compilation LP in the same year & were
the first band other than his own that Nick released on vinyl. To pay the
compliment back The Psychos got Nick to play his first gig in a decade at
The Royal Albert in New Cross. He & Mick Crossley of The Flyte Reaction
guested with The Psychos. Nick, as a result, formed The Bevis Frond
as a gigging band & went global playing with the likes of Arthur Lee &
Country Joe & The Fish.
Bufallo Mattahorn
The Psychos played countless Benefit Gigs redistributing funds to
Homelessness charities, Anti Poll-Tax organisations & local community
groups. By 1991 the band fragmented but have played numerous revival
gigs as a result of popular demand.
The music has always been fast, manic & extremely psychedelic!
More Psychos Mum
Photos: Psycho's Mum mirror was taken at The Silo Studios in Deptford by
Pam & Norman High. The studios were in an old 19th century bakery. They
were forcibly closed & developed into yuppie flats by the beginning of the
21st century. Their turbaned follower in photo 2 (taken by Penny Hunt)
was, in fact, dancing in front of hundreds of freaks at The Plumstead
Make Merry in 1988. The last photo (taken again by Penny) was at The
Old Vic. In Brighton.
